Coaching people is one of the biggest pleasures of my professional career. It has always been my mantra that to get the most out of people – and thus to be a successful leader myself – I need to coach the people around me. Over the years, I have learned that I must invest in building a strong team where my direct reports are pivotal. That meant not shying away from replacing people if they were unfit for that role. Also, you need to empower and coach them.
In the last ten years, I also started executive coaching, and that’s how I met Justine Hutteau, one of the two founders of Respire, a flourishing French cosmetics brand focusing on natural products. It has grown considerably in the last few years. You can listen to her story in this podcast Les Pionniers Chez Fred Mazzella.

Justine also talks about how she changed her attitude towards social media, as it became too disruptive for her private and professional life. In this segment, she discusses how I provided her with tools to mitigate the challenge. I’m grateful for her recognition.
