A normal Barnes & Noble store has about 130.000 books on its shelves. Amazon.com offers 2.3 million books through the internet. About a quarter of its sales are realized by the books in the long tail. And the tail is more vivid than ever. Books that didn’t reach the readers because they were not available on the m2 at shops, become bestsellers. The same applies for music, film, … entertainment in general.
